For anybody with an interest in our current knowledge of exoplanets, this episode of Exocast is certainly a great place to start. I’ve gone through the papers highlighted by Hannah Wakefield in the show and put links to them below – all of which I have collected via the links already provided by the Exocast team from their website (check out the link above and definitely listen to the episode – the discussion on Hycean planets brought up by one of the other members of the show is worth a listen on it’s own). Anybody that follows this blog knows it’s a place where I just collect information on points of interest so I can research them at a later date, however these papers focus on particular aspects of exoplanet study in a clear and succinct way that will certainly inform your interest in the subject.. A really quick read for those in a hurry should look at the abstracts here but the papers are well worth the effort as an introduction to exoplanets generally. . Anyway – check out the show, the PDF’s (links below) and then wonder at the amazement of the recent discovery of an exoplanet in…. another galaxy?? Awesome.
